About Us
2MRO Design Engineering (2MRO) provides specialised consulting services in Product and Mechanical Design.
With our knowledge and skillset, our focus is to help bring your ideas to life and ensure that your projects thrive.
We also aim to alleviate the workload of design and engineering teams, either through bringing 2MRO in as a project consultant; or engaging our services with streamlining file management via Product Data Management (PDM) software.
2MRO was created by Marlunn Oducayen (B. E. Mechanical Engineering Hons. University of Queensland),
Certified SolidWorks Expert in both CAD and Simulation.
1 Working product is classified as a functioning prototype that is ready to be showcased for market. 2MRO may help with furthering the product to scale for mass manufacturing but will be dependent on the project and further planning.
2 PDM services only apply to SolidWorks PDM Vault.
Services
2MRO Design Engineering offers the following range of services:
3D DESIGN AND DRAFTING
Also referred to as “Design Work”. This is a core 2MRO service.
This service involves using our 3D CAD tool capabilities in creating Parts, Assemblies, and necessary Technical Drawings to get your project successfully going.
REVERSE ENGINEERING
Another 2MRO core service. This involves purely translating the items listed below into 3D CAD and relevant secondary formats, such as technical drawings.
- Sketches
- Hand or old technical drawings
- Physical objects you may already have
If you have components that have been lost to time, allow us to help you recover them!
Please be advised, with the nature of reverse engineering work, resulting geometry may differ slightly from original geometry.
ANALYSIS AND DESIGN VALIDATION
Classified as our Mechanical Design Engineering service, this service draws on our expertise in conducting engineering analyses for your design/s or project/s.
This would involve using analysis tools and methodology, such as Finite Element Analysis, which will provide insights to the required iterations needed for the design/project to ensure they are trending in the right direction and check that compliance is being met for their intended applications before any expensive physical testing or engineering reviews are conducted.
There are 3 tiers associated to this service depending on the analyses required, as below:
Baseline Analysis
Linear Static and Fatigue Analysis
Intermediate Analysis
Frequency, Thermal and multiple scenario (AKA Design Study) Analysis
Advanced Analysis
Non-Linear Static, Linear and Non-Linear Dynamic, Optimization, Topology, Motion and CFD Analysis.
All tiers for this service include any non-FEA work (i.e. hand calculations, etc) and a report package to summarize the findings of the analyses conducted for the project.
Please be advised that this service is subject to Third Party Engineering Review for relevant certifications.
RENDERING FOR MARKETING
All ideas will need to be promoted one way or the other.
With this service, 2MRO Design Engineering can provide you and your team with still image renders of your idea and/or project to use for marketing purposes.
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND R&D
This offering has a larger scope which is more aligned to an “end-to-end” solution, compared to the 3D Design and Drafting service. This may involve bundling multiple services 2MRO offers to conduct your project from start to finish.

FILE DATA MANAGEMENT
Do you or your team have a need to control CAD file documentation? Or have an existing SolidWorks PDM setup and need assistance to maintain it?
2MRO has the capability to assist with file management via SolidWorks PDM. For this service, we have the capability to do the following:
Want to introduce PDM?
We can assist with scoping and fleshing out the desired workflow and documentation process to present for implementation.
Need an external CAD Administrator?
We can assist with maintaining your existing PDM system and ensure that files are following the implementation as intended and ensure file integrity, for example, No Duplicates!
